Tir Righ IL dated 2012-06-01 (Jump to Submissions) Greetings unto the College of Heralds! Commentary on this letter is due July 4. Red Flame Herald meetings: I am not scheduling a specific date for the meetings. Meetings will be held shortly after the commentary cutoff date. If you are interested in participating in a meeting (usually held in the Shire of False Isle), please email redflame@tirrigh.org for the exact time and location of the meetings. From Red Flame: I appreciate those commenters who provided information on the submissions on the last letter using the new Standards for Evaluation of Names and Armory (SENA) rules. It helps greatly to have other people providing input on the new rules. Coronet is almost upon us, and I hope to see many of you at the Herald's meeting. If you have questions regarding becoming a member of the commentary team, talk to me at the meeting or email me at redflame@tirrigh.org. I would like to thank Caitrina Silver Yale for all her hard work for the Tir Righ College of Heralds, and in particular for getting Tir Righ their own IL. I look forward to working with the new Silver Yale. Alicia Red Flame From Silver Yale: At June Coronet there will be a Heralds meeting (time/place to be announced). What makes it so special? Well for me it will be my last meeting as the Silver Yale Herald. Usually when I step down from an office there is kind of a sense of relief in a way that I made it though the term. Not this time. Being Silver Yale has been one of the most rewarding positions I have ever held and I will dearly miss it. I've been told I've done a good job. I'm here to tell you we have an amazing College of Heralds in our lands and I could not have done this job without all of your support and friendship that has been evident since my first meeting two years ago. Every branch herald, every volunteer herald at events, every herald holding a title in the Principality...YOU are the reason for my success. YOU inspire me to do my best and I am so thankful for each and every one of you. YOU are the Tir Righ College of Heralds. Our motto is "Learn by Doing" and you're all doing fantastic. I am so proud to have had the privilege to serve with you and I know the incoming Silver Yale will find this job as rewarding as I have. To that end, I am very pleased to announce that the HL Doireann Dechti of the Shire of Hartwood will be the new Silver Yale Herald upon my step down in June. She comes with a lot of experience in both the Tir Righ and An Tir College of Heralds and is a well respected member of the Heraldic family. Congrats to the new incoming Silver Yale! Once again, thank you to each and every one of you. And if you can make the meeting in June.... we'll have cookies! In Service I remain, Caitrina, soon to not be Silver Yale Herald of Tir Righ From the Incoming Silver Yale: Greetings Unto the Heralds of the Principality of Tir Righ I first wish to thank you all for your warm wishes, they meant a lot to me. Secondly, I want to heartily thank Caitrina for her excellent service to the Tir Righ College of Heralds during her tenure. Her Ladyship has done so much towards the ongoing growth of the College, and our future looks bright indeed. I would also like to thank Lord Geoffrey du val de Leon for his time in the important office of Hafoc Herald of Tir Righ, and I hope that he will return to the CoH at a future time in another capacity. I happily welcome Caitrina as Hafoc Herald of Tir Righ, upon her own, and Geoffrey's, stepping down from their current offices. I know that I am "inheriting" a wonderful staff, and I look very forward to working with all of you, and all branch heralds of our lovely Principality. Yours In Joyful Service, Lady Doireann Dechti, GdS, SP, l'Etoile d'Argent, AoA Protege to James Llewellyn ap Gruffyd, OP Red Flame Actions (from the March IL which I missed including on the May IL): The following submissions from the March IL have been forwarded to Laurel: · Eleanor Odlowe - New Name & New Device: Azure, three seeblätter inverted and a chief triangular Or. · Malie Rennick - New Device: Per chevron azure and Or, a raven wings elevated and addorsed, maintaining in its dexter foot a shuttle sable.
