The Rules for Submission are written in a certain order for a good reason. If you clear it by X1, there is no way it can conflict by later rules. If you clear it by X2, there's no way it can conflict by later rules. Therefore, apply them in the order in which they are written and you'll only need to use X4 for the more complicated armorial calls, and X5 only in the most unusual of circumstances.
